Within 2014 – 2020 Interreg V –A Italy – Croatia CBC Programme, Croatian Shipowners’ Association Mare Nostrum organizes the first Steering Committee meeting of the GUTTA project. The meeting will be held on October 2, 2019 in the Ministry of Regional Development and EU Funds.
Within the first part of the Steering Committee meeting, the European Cooperation Day will be celebrated as the conference for the members of the Association, Ministry of Maritime Affairs, Transport and Infrastructure, Faculties of Maritime Studies and other public and private institutions.
GUTTA project aims to improve the quality, safety and environmental sustainability of marine and coastal transport services and nodes by promoting multimodality in the Programme area. The project intends to support the decarbonization of the existing CB maritime links through optimized operations and Monitoring/Reporting/Verification and to prepare the ground for new ferry connections between Italy and Croatia. The decarbonization will rely on Decision Support System for the planning of eco-routes and facilitation of MRV directive. Finally, the new ferry connections will be eased by a public expression of interest.
