On the 20th and 21st of September, the city of Flensburg will be the location of the Citizens’ Engagement Activity SeaBeyondBorders.

During this two-day event, the public has the possibility to participate in a conference and discover cross-border and transnational cooperation projects concerning the protection of the Baltic Sea and the sustainable development of the Baltic Sea region.

The movie “A Plastic Ocean” will describe the global plastic issue and show the answers found around the world to tackle it. Afterwards, experts and local actors present their perspective on environmental issues and engage in a discussion with the public.

At the vernissage of “A Deeper Dive” art project, visitors get a chance to take a sound journey and experience a deeper connection with the nature. The interactive sound installation offers to join a symbolic dialogue with the Baltic Sea.

In conclusion, we invite citizens to join us at the International Coastal Cleanup Day, taking action for the sustainable transformation of the territory where we all live.
