GIOCOnDa is a project within the Programme Interreg IT-CH focused on the collection of open data on a single platform piloted in the cooperation area and implemented by Public Administration in both Italy and Switzerland.
The database is expected to unfold potential for the journalistic profession, especially in terms of stories, analysis, and more broadly data-journalism.
GIOCOnDa is carried out by an Italian-Swiss partnership encompassing governmental and higher education institutions. Their representatives will be resenting the content and aims of the project during the Glocal Festival, dedicated to the world of journalism, taking place in Varese 7th-10th November 2019.
The Festival is dedicated to local and global digital journalism and is organized by Varesenews, Italy’s first local online newspaper.
Every year over 150 speakers from all over Italy participate in the 60 meetings and workshops that are organized in the 4 days of the Festival. This year Google will also be the main sponsor.
